Forest Riders Trail Report
Tuesday,
January 24, 2012
Currently, the Park Rapids area has 2 to 4 inches of
snow. The groomers are waiting for a few more inches before they can
start maintaining the trails. Fortunately, temperatures have remained
below freezing and the snow on the ground is not disappearing. Although there are reports that
the ice on area lakes is around a foot deep, it is best to check with local
people regarding ice depths. Be safe!
The trail report
will be updated on a weekly basis. If the area receives new snow, the site
will be updated at that time with current information on the trail conditions.
The Forest Riders trail system is comprised of many miles of trails through
public and private land. Private landowners have generously granted
access to their land. With the permission of the landowners, the
Forest Riders Snowmobile Club has established and maintained a terrific trail system.
Please be respectful of the landowners and stay on the designated
trails.
It is important to the future of the trail system.
