Ideal snowmobiling conditions continue on the trail system.  The area received another 4 inches on Wednesday...this seems to be a weekly or bi-weekly occurrence, which makes it great for snowmobiling!  Probably a good idea to carry a rope!

Groomers have put in long hours this week maintaining the trails and will wrap it up today.  Just in time for snowmobilers to take advantage of the spectacular trail system.  Remember to stop in and support our local business sponsors!

If you haven't done so already, make plans to participate in the club's charity event - Hospice Raffle Ride!  Proceeds go for a great cause - CHI St. Joseph's Hospice Care!

With our raffle ride less than 2 weeks away.  Plan your routes early! Follow our event for more details.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

It is going to be another great weekend for hitting the trails and enjoying the wonderful scenery of the great up north!  After receiving another 3+ inches of snow on Monday, the groomers are out on the trails making them marvelous.

Grooming is done on all trails with the exception of Trails #21 and #11 from Spike's to Two Inlets Store...these will be done on Friday.

Remember to put the FRSC Hospice Raffle Ride on your calendar!  Dates are Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2!  Fun time for all and a great cause!

Snow, snow, and more snow is the news from the Forest Riders Snowmobile Club! This week we received another 12+ inches of snow and it is still snowing. The groomers have been out all week and will continue to groom as much as they can before the weekend. Riding should be good by the weekend...you may want to make sure you have a shovel and rope. Be very careful riding across lakes and non-tracked swamps. Enjoy the snow!

Even with the bitter cold temperatures, the groomers have been out all week taking care of the trails. On Monday, we received an additional 7 inches of snow and the trails are grooming up beautifully. Trails to Park Rapids, Itasca, Two Inlets, and west and north were completed as of Wednesday. Yesterday, the trails to Wolf Lake and Osage were done. The groomers will finish up the trail system today on County Road 89, County Road 4, and Trail #24.

Check out the Forest Riders Snowmobile Club on Facebook for additional trail and event updates. Plus posts and photos shared by riders out on the trails.

The weekend forecast looks to be nice and warm so riding should be excellent! Enjoy and be safe!

The groomer were out on Monday, January 16.  The following trails were groomed:

Itasca Park & Trail #11 from the Park to Two Inlets;
Majority of the trails near Emmaville (except Alligator Alley);
Hwy 71 to Lake George;
Two Inlets to Osage.

 Trail #33 from Hwy 113 south has been plowed for logging.

USXC Heartland 200 Race: Prior to the race, the groomer will be out on Friday on Trail #24 and Trail #31 (County 4).  These trails will be groomed again after the race.

Thanks to the groomers, snowmobilers are reporting great trails! Unfortunately, there is no snow in the forecast and below zero temperatures for this weekend. Be safe!!
